Pick-up from Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to Parkview Inn Hotel in Moshi (approx. 45min–1hr). Meet your guide for briefing and equipment check.

Day 1: Lemosho Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp

After breakfast, drive to Lemosho Gate (2,100m) for registration. Begin your trek through the lush rainforest to Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,895m). Spot monkeys and exotic birds along the way.

Day 2: Mti Mkubwa to Shira 1 Camp

Ascend through the rainforest into the heather zone, crossing into the Shira Plateau.

📅 16th December

Day 3: Shira 1 to Shira 2 Camp

Trek deeper into the moorland region of the plateau. Short scenic day.

📅 17th December

Day 4: Shira 2 to Lava Tower, then Barranco Camp

Ascend to Lava Tower (4,270m) for acclimatization, then descend to Barranco Camp (3,950m).

Day 5: Barranco Wall to Karanga Camp

Start with the famous Barranco Wall climb. After conquering the wall, hike through scenic terrain to Karanga Camp (4,040m).

Day 6: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

A short but important hike to Barafu Camp (4,700m). You’ll rest early and prepare for the midnight summit attempt.

🌕 20th December

Day 7: Summit Day & Descent to Mweka Camp

At midnight, begin the final push to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the roof of Africa, under the magical glow of the full moon. After sunrise at the summit, descend to Mweka Camp (3,100m).

Day 8: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate – Return to Moshi

Final descent through the rainforest to Mweka Gate. Celebrate your achievement with a certificate ceremony, then drive back to Moshi for a well-deserved rest.

📅 22nd December - Departure

Departure

Transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight home, or continue your journey with a safari or beach holiday if you’ve booked an extension.
