Day 1: Arrival
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) where our team will warmly welcome you. You’ll be transferred to your hotel in Moshi for check-in. In the evening, you’ll meet your lead mountain guide for a detailed briefing and final gear check before the adventure begins.

Day 2: Lemosho Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp

Day 3: Mti Mkubwa to Shira 2 Camp

Day 4: Shira 2 to Barranco Camp via Lava Tower
Trek upwards to the Lava Tower (4,270m) for acclimatization, then descend into the Barranco Valley. This is a key day for altitude adjustment.

Day 5: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

Day 8: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate & Back to Moshi
Final descent through the rainforest to Mweka Gate. Celebrate your achievement with a certificate ceremony, then drive back to Moshi for a well-deserved rest.

Day 9: Departure
Transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight home, or continue your journey with a safari or beach holiday if you’ve booked an extension.

Summiting Kilimanjaro is probably one of the most amazing things we have ever done and it wouldn’t have been possible without Mauly. Not only did they support us all the way to the summit but were also so so lovely and open to chatting about life and the mountain, it really felt like we made friends for a lifetime we hope to visit again one day.
