A nine-day circuit through Tanzania's less-visited southern parks - Ruaha, Mikumi and Nyerere - combining classic game drives with a boat safari on the Rufiji River. Domestic flights connect the parks, and travelers stay in luxury lodges and tented camps on full board, departing from and returning to Dar es Salaam. Best from June through October, with an optional night game drive.

Once our safari began, Samuel brought the experience to life: knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate. We saw lions, elephants, zebras, buffalo and countless other animals, and he took the time to explain their behaviors rather than just spot them. Having now traveled with Mauly Tours twice, they'll be our first call next time we're planning a trip to Tanzania.
