Arrival

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport. You’ll be transferred to your hotel in Moshi for briefing and gear check.

Day 1: Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp

After breakfast and a drive to Londorossi Gate (2,100m), complete registration and begin your trek through the rainforest to Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,820m). Look out for black-and-white colobus monkeys and rich birdlife.

Day 2: Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira 1 Camp

Ascend out of the rainforest and into the heather and moorland zone. Enjoy stunning views of the Shira Plateau as you approach camp.

Day 3: Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp

Day 4: Shira 2 Camp to Moir Hut – Full Moon

Day 8: Summit Day – School Hut to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp

Begin your ascent around midnight, reaching Gilman’s Point (5,685m) at sunrise and Uhuru Peak (5,895m) shortly after. Descend back down to Mweka Camp.

Departure Day – Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate
