No two days will be the same on this six-day adventure!
Your week will commence with monkeys overhead and flamingos in abundance. Then it’s onto lion heaven in the most iconic national park – the Serengeti!
Your safari will end exploring an ancient volcanic crater, with breathtaking views everywhere you turn.
At 8.00 am you will be picked up from Arusha by your Safari guide and driver. From there you will be driven through to Tarangire National Park. On this two hour drive, you will get a chance to see the remote areas of Tanzania before reaching the gates of the park. On entering the park, you will encounter the beautiful Tanzanian wildlife within minutes. The next few hours will be spent game viewing through the park.
Lunch will be provided for you by your guide, and there is no better way to enjoy lunch than sitting in a park overlooking elephants and zebras. After everyone is fed and rested, you will hit the road (or dirt path) once more in search of more game viewing. You will leave the park with plenty of time to reach your accommodation before nightfall.
Today will be one of your biggest travel days! After breakfast, you will leave Tarangire National Park and head to the world-famous Serengeti National Park!
Your guide will take you across the seemingly endless plains of the Serengeti, with a short game drive before arriving at your lodge. Before sundown, you will head to your accommodation in the heart of the Serengeti for some much-needed rest and a warm meal.
With no time to lose, you will delve straight into the park after breakfast. You will spend the next two days of your safari exploring the vast and versatile Serengeti.
On these days, your guide will serve you lunch in the park and show you all there is to see, from the small warthogs to the impressive lions. Your nights will be spent watching sunsets that will rival any you have ever seen, and listening to the sounds of elephants in the distance.
Your final day of safari dawns, and it is time to experience something new!
Today you will drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, where you will descend 600m into the crater for more spectacular game viewing. The crater will take your breath away with its beauty. Lunch will be served at a beautifully scenic lakeshore where you can watch hippo’s play while you eat your sandwiches.
The crater is known for its high concentration of exciting animals, in no time you will be witnessing more spectacular sites as your driver tracks down anything you didn’t see before lunch.
Your final night in the wilds of Tanzania will be spent on the outskirts of the crater. Before sunset you will head to your accommodation near the crater rim for a warm meal and some relaxation.
After breakfast today, it will be time to say goodbye to the rugged wilderness of Tanzania. Your adventure will draw to a close and you will be taken to Arusha for the next stage of your travels. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled on the drive back; you might spot some wayward zebra on your way.
