Located on the outskirts of Karatu, Bougainvillea is a small, affordable safari lodge which is ideally situated between Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro Crater.
The lodge features simple buildings with comfortable furnishings. The rooms are in the form of cottages dotted around the estate. The cosy rooms each have a fireplace and veranda. The lodge is nestled in lush gardens, and is close to some coffee plantations.
Bougainvillea is lucky to have a great executive chef, Mr Bayo, who cooks classic family meals and African cuisine made from fresh ingredients that are locally sourced.
